Dance for Cheer Fundraiser

On Saturday, January 13th, the Community High School Cheerleaders held a "Dance for Cheer" fundraiser in the school's gymnasium. This high energy event raised over $1,400 for Community High School's activities program.

Parents, friends, students, and teachers sweated and danced to an hour long Zumba workout, all for a small donation. Everyone who participated had the opportunity to bid on various raffle prizes, including local fitness center memberships and classes, massages, car washes, restaurant gift cards, and more.

It was an exciting day all around, especially for the Cheerleaders with a squad of 22 members, it is Community High School's largest and loudest team ever!

Thanks to the generosity of the Community School families, friends, and alumni, there were plenty of toys, stuffed animals, and books to go around. An arrangement was made with the YMCA to distribute the extra toys to families in the local community who were in need. The CHS student council is grateful to everyone for the support.

It was difficult to tell who enjoyed the day more - the nursery school children or CHS’s elves!
