Community School Parent Information Sessions are conducted by school personnel, and focus on a variety of academic, social, and transition topics. Genesis Parent Portal provides parents of The Community High School with web-based student record services.
Go to Our Genesis Portal. Your username is the email address we have on file.
For new parents, you will receive an email from genesis-noreply@communityschool.k12.nj.us. This email will provide you will a temporary password. You will be instructed to change your password. Please record your username and password for future logins to our system. You may also use the “Forgot Password” link to have a new password emailed to you. Please check your spam folder before contacting the school.

Students who receive special education services have an IEP (or Individualized Education Program). The process of developing this vital document is essential to the student, educators, administrators, and families.
Our work is to coordinate activities and events, which enhance the social, interpersonal, and educational skills for The Community School students. The Community School Parents Association is committed to enriching the educational experiences of our students and encouraging parent involvement. The CSPA supports the teachers and administration by sponsoring fundraisers to support projects and programs not funded by the school in an effort to maximize our student’s learning experiences.

NYC Talkspace is a free mental health support program available to any teenager aged 13 to 17, living in New York City. Whether the teen struggles with mental health challenges or just wants somebody to talk to about their everyday ups and downs, they can sign up for Talkspace to be connected to a licensed therapist for ongoing support. They will also get access to online mental health exercises to complete at their own pace.
