Our 2019 graduating seniors attended a senior luncheon at Biddy O'Malley's in Englewood, New Jersey. Our Director of Education, Toby Braunstein and our College Mentors, College Transition staff, and our Guidance staff accompanied our accomplished senior class.
Some of our fifty-one seniors will be attending many of the State University of New York (SUNY) and City University of New York (CUNY) campuses. Also, students will attend Saint Thomas Aquinas in Sparkill, New York, Timer Institute for Medical Emergency and Rescue in Staten Island, New York, and Landmark College in Putney, Vermont.
The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey, are a few other post-secondary opportunities our seniors have accepted. We are also proud to announce one of our graduates will become a United States Marine.
Joy Bortnick, our Guidance College Coordinator who advises our students throughout their education here at CHS and counsels in areas of academic achievement and career choices, spoke to our seniors. Also, one of our senior student council members shared memories and gave us a farewell address.
Thank you to the Community High School Parent Association for sponsoring our luncheon.
Congratulations to the Class of 2019!
